Summer 2020 Online Program

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL) will be running the 2020 Stanford AI4ALL program online. To learn more about this summer's program, please visit the SAIL website.

Stanford AI4ALL is a partnership between the non-profit AI4ALL, the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL), and Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies. This program is also made possible by generous support from both companies and individuals. Sponsors' contributions are used to offer financial aid to all students in need.

History of Stanford AI4ALL

This program ran for three summers as the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory's Outreach Summer Program (SAILORS), but it has since been renamed to Stanford AI4ALL, signaling a new collaboration between Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies, the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) and education nonprofit AI4ALL. Both SAILORS and AI4ALL were founded by Dr. Fei-Fei Li (Stanford University) and Dr. Olga Russakovsky (Princeton University), two world-renowned AI researchers dedicated to expanding access to their field.

Stanford AI4ALL continues to be based in Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies. The Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory facilitates the hands-on research, networking opportunities with faculty, and lab tours. Cutting-edge curriculum and an alumni fellowship is offered by AI4ALL.

Stanford AI Lab

The Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory has opened its lab doors with a program aimed at young women who are in 9th grade at the time of applying. Founded by Olga Russakovsky and Fei-Fei Li, female leaders in Artificial Intelligence, the three-week, residential program provides both broad exposure to AI topics through faculty lectures and industry field trips, as well as in-depth experience within a research area through hands-on projects.

AI4ALL is a nonprofit working to increase diversity and inclusion in artificial intelligence education, research, development, and policy. AI4ALL partners with Stanford and other top universities to educate high school students and increase diversity and inclusion in AI. Students participating in AI4ALL programs will divide their time between studying the curriculum designed by AI4ALL and partaking in lectures and research projects at the partnered universities.
