Residential Life

Stanford AI4ALL believes that valuable growth experiences take place inside and outside of the classroom. We intentionally design learning opportunities to happen throughout the day, evening, and weekends.

Residential Program Dates

Sunday, July 19 – Friday, July 31, 2026

Participants must arrive on the designated arrival dates and remain until the end of the program. Note that arrival day is a Sunday afternoon and departure day is a Friday morning.

Attendance Policy

Participants must be fully involved in the program and required to be present for all program activities.

Due to the immersive nature of Stanford AI4ALL Residential, concurrent enrollment in other programs is not possible. All activities, including co-curricular programming, are designed to provide participants with a well-rounded experience inside and outside of the classroom. Participants should only miss scheduled activities for health reasons, religious observances, or family emergencies.

Housing

Participants are housed with other Stanford AI4ALL participants in Stanford undergraduate residences, supervised by trained residential staff. Rooms include an extra-long twin bed, window coverings, desk, chair, bookcase, dresser, lines, towels, and wardrobe/closet, with wireless connectivity available campus-wide. Rooms are assigned by gender and all-gender housing assignments can be provided for a supportive environment. The residence hall does not have air conditioning.

Activities

The daily schedule includes a variety of co-curricular activities in the afternoon to expand the education that takes place outside of the classroom. These activities are intended to provide participants with new skills, exercise, and community building. Activities are designed for a variety of interests and energy levels.

Examples of evening and weekend activities may include a talent show, a firepit night, and visiting downtown Palo Alto.
Students walk around the beach town Capitola.

Field Trips

Weekend field trips enrich the academic experience and provide an opportunity to socialize with your peers outside of the classroom. Transportation, lunch, and entrance fees (if applicable) are included for all participants.

Living on Campus

One of the best parts of attending Stanford AI4ALL is the ability to live in Stanford University residence halls. Students will walk from the residence hall to meals, class, and afternoon co-curricular activities around Stanford’s large and beautiful campus.
