Summer 2020 Online Program

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL) will be running the 2020 Stanford AI4ALL program online. To learn more about this summer's program, please visit the SAIL website.

Residential Life

Stanford AI4ALL believes that valuable growth experiences take place inside and outside of the classroom. We intentionally design learning opportunities to happen throughout the day, evening, and weekends.

Housing & Dining

Participants are housed in a residence used by Stanford undergraduates during the academic year, and live with other participants of the Stanford AI4ALL program. Trained residential staff live in the residence with the participants to create a safe and welcoming community.

Stanford AI4All is committed to providing an inclusive, supportive, and comfortable residential environment for all participants, and gender-inclusive housing assignments can be provided.

The daily schedule includes a variety of recreational activities and free time in the afternoon to expand the education that takes place outside of the classroom. These activities are intended to provide participants with new skills, exercise, and community building. Activities are designed for a variety of interests and energy levels.

Evening and weekend activities include a talent show, informal musical concerts, a weekend carnival, a campfire night, a dance, and other special evening events organized by the residential staff.
Participants work on a farm on Stanford campus.

Field Trips

One day each weekend, participants are taken by chartered bus on excursions to points of cultural, historical, or recreational interest in the San Francisco Bay Area. Transportation, lunch, and entrance fees are included for all participants.

Past field trips include: the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), the de Young Museum, the Legion of Honor, Capitola Beach, and the California Academy of Sciences.
